Ian Sawkins

Ian has been an enthusiast on and in the water most of his life, including diving around the coast of Britain, dinghy sailing, water skiing, power boating, keel boat cruising and racing. He was lucky enough to experience the Mediterranean waters as a child while living in Malta and North Africa, which set him on course for a longing to continue enjoying water activities, even in the colder waters around the UK.

Having trained as an accountant he moved into industry with a focus on sales and ultimately running companies. As he says, accountancy was a springboard for him to move into industry.

He acquired a yacht brokerage in Scotland, selling used boats of all sizes and propulsion, and making the most of his business ethics and high selling standards with an emphasis on delivering a high-quality service for buyers and sellers.
